The ‘normal’ practice of putting the window ‘head screws’ on the sides in order to take the windows hard up to the soffit is being strongly discouraging by some Councils. In the attached photo the window is taken close to the soffit and then finished with a piece of 19 x 19 ‘brick mould’ or ‘eve mould’.
